Why Dispersion Quality Determines Your Extrusion Yield
In plastic manufacturing—especially thin blown film and high-speed pipe extrusion—poor carbon black dispersion is the single leading cause of bubble collapse, pinholes, rough surface finish, and premature filter clogging.
Our Black Masterbatches are compounded through high-shear twin-screw extruders with optimized screw profiles and specialized lubricating processing aids. This ensures that agglomerated carbon black particles are thoroughly de-agglomerated and uniformly coated with virgin carrier resin (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, or PP).
Key Factory Benefits for Southeast Asian & African Processors:
- Lower Let-Down Ratio (LDR): Achieve full opacity and jetness at only 1.5% to 3.0% dosage, reducing masterbatch consumption per ton of finished film.
- Extended Filter Screen Life: Controlled pressure filter value (FPV) prevents frequent downtime for mesh changes during 24-hour extrusion runs.
- Excellent Compatibility: Formulated for both virgin PE/PP and high-ratio recycled resin mixes (reprocessed LDPE/HDPE).

Blown Film Grade
Engineered for LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE blown film. Excellent for shopping bags, garbage liners, courier envelopes, and agricultural mulch film. Prevents film breaks even down to 10–15 microns.
- Carbon Black: 30% – 45% (High Jetness)
- Carrier: Virgin LLDPE / LDPE
- Recommended LDR: 1.5% – 3.0%
Injection & Blow Molding
High fluidity and high gloss formulation for electrical appliance housings, automotive parts, crates, toolboxes, caps, and rigid containers. High thermal stability with no odor.
- Carbon Black: 35% – 50%
- Carrier: Virgin PP / PE
- Recommended LDR: 1.0% – 2.5%
Pipes & Heavy Extrusion
Specialized for HDPE corrugated drainage pipes, telecommunications conduit, and drip irrigation tubing. Incorporates weather-stable carbon black for UV absorption and tensile preservation.
- Carbon Black: 35% – 45% (P-Type / Fine Particle)
- Carrier: Virgin HDPE Base
- Recommended LDR: 2.0% – 4.0%
Recycled Resin Masking Grade
Formulated with intense tinting power and high-MFI carriers specifically to mask yellow, grey, or multi-color recycled regrind flakes. Upgrades low-grade regrind into uniform black plastic parts.
- Carbon Black: 25% – 40% (High Tinting Strength)
- Carrier: Universal High-Flow PE
- Recommended LDR: 1.5% – 3.0%
Agricultural Mulch Film Grade
High opacity grade preventing sunlight transmission down to the soil, inhibiting weed growth while maintaining film elasticity and resistance to pesticide chemicals.
- Carbon Black: 35% – 45%
- Carrier: LLDPE (Linear Low Density)
- Recommended LDR: 2.0% – 3.5%

Extrusion Troubleshooting for Factory Engineers
Common issues observed in film blowing and pipe extrusion with actionable resolution guidelines.
Issue: Film Bubble Tears / Pinhole Formation
Cause: Moisture absorption in masterbatch or presence of undispersed carbon agglomerates exceeding the film gauge.
Solution: Store 25kg bags in dry conditions; check bag seal integrity. Switch to our ultra-fine Blown Film Grade which incorporates secondary micro-dispersion processing.
Issue: Die Buildup / Die Drool at Lips
Cause: Excess low-molecular-weight waxes or thermal degradation of non-virgin carrier resins.
Solution: Ensure carrier resin MFI matches base resin viscosity. Our grades use pure virgin polyolefin carriers with tight molecular weight distribution to eliminate volatile buildup.
Issue: Uneven Color Streaks in Recycled Plastic Mixes
Cause: Insufficient melt mixing in single-screw extruder due to mismatched melt temperatures.
Solution: Increase backpressure slightly and utilize our Recycled Masking Grade with higher MFI for spontaneous dispersion in recycled regrind matrices.
